The Senior Dogs Project
"Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog."
Over the course of the fifteen-or-so years that Rimadyl has been on the market, Pfizer, the manufacturer of the drug, has been named in a number of individual and class-action lawsuits due to the harm alleged to have been caused to consumers' dogs by the drug. Due to various legal complexities and protocols, we are not in a position to comment on these matters nor to advise any consumer who believes legal action may be warranted.
A comprehensive report on a successful class action lawsuit against Pfizer appears at this link: The Dog Place. If you would like further information, you may be able to obtain it via the doghealth2 support group. You may also wish to contact THE ANIMAL LAW CENTER, headquarters at 4465 Kipling Street, Suite 108, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, to determine if you may have reason to pursue legal action and whether their lawyers may be able to help you.
