Sammie is a wonderful girl who has been in rescue way too long. We are all astounded that someone hasn't adopted this sweet calm soul. Sammie is 6 years old and is very healthy. Because she came from such a loving home and was cared for so well, Sammie has very little gray on her muzzle at all. Please don't let her age stop you from seeing what a wonderful girl she is. Sammie needs to go to a home with no other dogs, or one other dog. She is very social and loves to go for car rides. She will be content to lay at your feet when you're in the house or follow you around as you go about your day. If you'd like a big, lazy dog who will just adore you, then Sammie is your girl! She really needs a family to bond with and call her own - you'll never see a more faithful companion! If you'd like to adopt Sammie, please contact us and fill out our adoption application. If you can become a foster for Sammie so she can once again know the joys of being in a family home, please contact us and fill out our foster application. It would mean the world to Sammie... Name: Bailey
Mix/Breed: Beagle
Sex/Age/Weight: Female, 10 years, 35 lbs.
Health: Spayed. Up to date on shots. Heart murmur, beginnings of cataracts.
History/Personality: My name is Bailey and I am the special needs Beagle of the bunch. I'm around 10 years old and have some health problems. OKBR rescued me when I was found roaming the city near a busy intersection. I was so filthy, it took two baths to get my coat clean. I am spayed, up to date on all my shots, on heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention. Unfortunately, I have a heart murmur and take daily medication for that condition. In addition, I'm on a twice daily dose of Rimadyl (an anti-inflammatory) for joint aches and pains. Also, I'm on a diuretic because I'm retaining water due to my heart condition. Because of my health problems and age, I don't get along with other dogs. As an older Beagle, I just want to enjoy my retirement in peace and quiet. I am a very loving girl and love to go for walks all the time. My favorite thing is to sit down with a chewie next to my people. I also love to snoze by my foster parents' feet. I really need a home that I can call forever. I need someone who is willing to keep up my medications and be there through thick and thin. I'm such a sweet, old gal.... I just need someone I can call my very own.
Adoption Fee: $85.00
