Donations Urgently Needed to Bring Home Blue, Gracie and Pups from Iraq......

June 9, 2004 --

Blue's soldier has just written that the round-up and shooting of strays at his post has again started up in earnest. Blue, his "girlfriend" Gracie, and her two pups can no longer be kept safe there. Homes in the U.S. have been found for Blue, Gracie and the pups with the soldier's family and friends.

The only remaining obstacle is the cost of getting them to their new homes quickly. Their transport, export and veterinary fees will be upwards of $3,000. Your support of our troops by contributing to bring home the dogs will be invaluable in keeping up their morale. Please contribute if you possibly can. Your contribution can be sent directly to the organization coordinating the transport -- Military Mascots. Please designate your donation for "Blue."

Blue awaits his soldier each morning, just beside the vehicle in which the soldier will go on that day's mission.
