News about Blue, His Soldier, and Others, from Iraq......

June 2, 2004 Update --

Blue is in danger, once again, of being rounded up and shot. He has stubbornly refused to stay with the family who adopted him and has repeatedly escaped from their home and returned to the post to be with his soldier. It is beginning to become apparent that the only way to save Blue (and his "girlfriend" Gracie and her two pups) will be to bring them to the US. Military Mascots is working with Blue's soldier to make the arrangements, and United Animal Nation has also expressed interest in helping. Here are some photos of Blue, his "girlfriend" Gracie, and her two pups:

Blue awaits his soldier each morning, just beside the vehicle in which he will go on that day's mission.
Blue has an MRE for breakfast, delivered personally by his soldier.
Blue waits for his soldier to return from his mission.

Blue's "girlfriend" Gracie and her two pups, who live in a little cave at the edge of the post. "Little Boy Blue" is topmost in the photo.
