Louisiana -- Dogs Available for Adoption
Name: Thomas
Mix/Breed: German Shepherd Dog Mix
Sex/Age/Weight: Male, 9 years, 45 lbs.
Health: Neutered, uup to date on shots. Good health.
History/Personality: Thomas thought he was going back home to the yard he knew; however Hurricane Katrina had a different fate in mind for him. Just after the hurricane, he spent several months in a foster home so his family could rebuild their home. They are back there, but there are no trees to shade him anymore. The familiar comfort is gone. Thomas is now looking for a place to retire, as his mom realizes it's in his best interest. The summer heat is upon us, and he really shouldn't have to struggle for a place to find shade. He was a joy at his foster home, and his foster mom can tell you all about that! Thomas makes friends very easily, and is completely housebroken.

Name: Puff
Mix/Breed: Papillon/Chihuahua mix
Sex/Age/Weight: Female, 13 years, 7 lbs.
Health: Spayed, utd on vaccs, heartwom negative. Good health.
History/Personality: Puff is a wonderful little senior girl who lost her guardian last year. Puff gets along great with other dogs and is not even concerned about cats. She had mammary tumors which were recently removed. Some were benign, a couple were malignant; however, once sent to LSU, it was conclusive that they were confined and hadn't spread. Good news, she's fine!!! Puff would love nothing more than to be in the lap of someone who is home most of the time; she's happy to be your shadow. Luvable, precious and very sweet little girl! BTW, she doesn't bark -- she opens her mouth wide and gives out a little yell. Tooo cute! Doesn't your home need a little one such as Puff?
