Sherman is a lovable senior Shepherd/Lab mix who came from Monterey County Animal Services. He's about 8-9 years old and is an easygoing, confident guy who is a perfect gentleman with cats and other dogs. With maturity comes impeccable house manners--Sherman is completely house trained and would never chew anything he wasn't supposed to. Sherman has a lot of love to share and, if allowed, he will climb into your lap--all 80 pounds of him--for some love and cuddle time. Sherman takes a daily dose of Rimadyl for age-related aches and pains, and will need an adopter willing to take on the responsibilities that come with adopting a senior animal. If you would like to help make sure Sherman's golden years are the best he's ever had, please contact Animal Friends Rescue Project, Pacific Grove, CA, and fill out an online adoption application.
Yogi is a 10-year-old, 40-pound terrier mix who came to us from the Hollister Shelter. He's a mellow gentleman who would be a great match for someone looking for a quiet, low-energy dog. Yogi has wise eyes under that shaggy coat, and could probably tell lots of stories if he could. He is house trained and is in good health for a dog his age. His front legs are a bit bowed and as a result he walks with a bit of a swagger, and doesn't move very fast. He likes leisurely walks around the neighborhood, and enjoys basking in a sunny spot in the back yard. Yogi seems to be fine with cats, children and other dogs that don't pester him. He's looking for an adopter that can take responsibility for the needs of a senior dog. Contact Animal Friends Rescue Project, Pacific Grove, and, if you are interested in adopting this wonderful senior, please fill out an online adoption application.
Bambi is a sweet 8-9 year old Miniature Pinscher mix. She lost her home when her elderly guardian passed away. Bambi has an easygoing personality and always seems to have a happy doggie grin on her face. Bambi is house trained, loves to go for walks and enjoys cuddling with people. Bambi gets along nicely with other dogs of all ages, and ignores cats. She has some vision loss and takes a daily pill for her heart, but is otherwise in great health. Bambi is currently in foster care with Animal Friends Rescue Project in Pacific Grove, and comes to the Adoption Center Tuesday - Saturday afternoons to meet potential adopters. If you are interested in adopting this wonderful senior, please fill out an online adoption application.
